How tall boxster

But not today. In short, this early is still a bit of a revelation today, and you can see why it allowed the Boxster moniker to endure, collecting 43, U. Greater adjustability marks out the driving position, versus the older car, but the overlapping main dials, location of the cruise control and ignition slot—and even the view from the front screen over the rising offside front wing—are immediately familiar from the Start up, and the 4.

Strange, though, that its gear ratios—especially second and third—are so tall. You soon drive around this quirk, but it would be good to compare the same engine with the seven-speed PDK and its shorter intermediate gearing. That said, the manual shift is slick and quick, with a nice mechanical feel to it, and mated to a relatively light clutch. The driving position is even similar, and what a great sounding engine. As I watched Bathie depart in his , its little 2. Engine : 2. Engine: 4.

Via Hagerty UK. Driven it long distance across the continent without any problems. It is a tiptronic though, test drove a manual spyder recently and using the clutch pedal was a bit of a tight squeeze with my left leg touching the steering wheel occasionally. I couldn't fit in, to drive at least, a , or a Z3 for that matter.

Reckon you should be fine in a Good luck, they are awesome cars. I'm 6'6" and struggled in both a and , could drive them but found them quite uncomfortable - made my feel very roomy afterwards which it wasn't in reality. I would have bought a but the lack of space stopped me, but others on here who are same height ot taller seem to manage OK!

So, just to update I went to look at a Boxster this morning - and I fit! However see how much of this is familiar - not just specific to one marque 1 The 'facelifted version' wasn't. There was an invoice for the clear lenses in the history 2 "Better be quick mate, I've got someone coming to view it from XXX insert appropriately far away place here in 20 minutes". No you haven't, I've seen this in your stock list for 4 months, stop lying. The Porsche has styling similar to the early The main difference is that it is powered by an air-cooled flat-four engine that is based on the engine found in the C.

Since the Porsche is similar to the early the availability space is the same as in the Those are the Porsche models that work well for taller drivers. Now for a few that are a bit more work for a longer driver. The Porsche Boxster is a perfect balanced mid-engined sports car that allows that wind in the hair feeling. From the beginning the roadster has been all about the curves. As the model has evolved it has turned into quite the sports car, especially in the Boxster Spyder form.

Where the Boxster started life as the entry level Porsche, when the Boxster and Cayman were released it moved up the model lineup over the Cayman.

For taller drivers the Boxster has limited space. Installing the GT3 center console delete does help, but because of engine placement you are more limited in how much you can adjust the chair. Newer examples provide a little bit more space, but taller drivers still may find it difficult to get enough space to drive comfortably.

The Cayman started out as more than just a hardtop boxster. The first generation was introduced above the Boxster in the model lineup, filling the gap between the Boxster and the This that pre Caymans all offered a bit more power than their Boxster sibling.

The result is a fine driving machine that offers a lot of performance for the money. With the introduction of the Cayman, the coupe has become the entry level Porsche sports car, but it offers the same power outputs and performance as the more expensive Boxtser.

For taller drivers the Cayman offers decent head room, especially in generation and Cayman forms. You may not gain as much from a flat bottom steering wheel as you would with seats that gave you a bit more rear travel. You should be able to get the back against the rear bulkhead.

But you may have to accept a slightly more upright seating position, which would obviously drop your knees a bit. If all else fails, a bit of time tryping as many cars as you can to see if you can find a configuration that works and you can duplicate. There are plenty of alternative seats out there but trying to measure differences, with a combination of seat and fitting system to consider, will be challenging.

Where about are you based? There may be others local l to you who can help. Quote Reply 4. I guess it depends on whether you have long legs or a long torso? Quote Reply 5. That always works for me Andrew.
